§ 16-52. Water/body activity prohibited in portions of Occoquan Reservoir.
(a)
It shall be unlawful for any person to wash, bathe, or swim in that portion of Occoquan Reservoir located in the Hooes Run area, defined as that portion of the reservoir south of a line drawn from the northeasternmost point of the west bank of the confluence of the Occoquan River and old Hooes Run, and the south end of the Occoquan Dam.
(b)
For purposes of this section, "washing, bathing, and swimming" shall mean any recreational activity which results or may result in the immersion of any part or all of a person's body in the waters of the Occoquan Reservoir, including but not limited to wading, water skiing, diving, scuba diving, snorkeling, canoe jousting, log rolling or other water body contact activity.
(c)
Any person who violates any provision of this section shall be guilty of a Class 2 misdemeanor.
