§ 13-334. Identification of disabled parking spaces by above-grade signage.

  • (a)

    All parking spaces reserved for the use of persons with disabilities shall be in accordance with the provisions of Code of Virginia, § 36-99.11.

    (b)

    Building owners shall identify all parking spaces reserved for the use of persons with disabilities in accordance with this section and the applicable provisions of the Uniform Statewide Building Code by January 1, 1993.

    (c)

    No violation of section 13-333 shall be dismissed from a property owner's failure to comply strictly with the requirements for disabled parking signs set forth in Code of Virginia, § 36-99.11, provided the space is clearly distinguishable as a parking space reserved for persons with disabilities that limit or impair their ability to walk.
